Isca Wilms

“Dr. Wilms is excited to partner with you and your family in taking excellent care of your children at every stage of their development.”

Dr. Isca Wilms earned her Bachelor of Science from Union College (Schenectady, New York), in 1997 and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 2001. She completed a General Pediatrics Internship, her Residency and a Pediatric Infectious Disease Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University.

She has been a practicing pediatrician in Richmond since 2007.

Dr. Wilms is Board Certified in Pediatrics. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the national and local chapter, and a member of the Breastfeeding, Infectious Diseases, Oral Health and Osteopathy sections of the AAP.

Dr. Wilms migrated as an elementary student, from Jamaica, “land of wood and water”, to the United States. She and her family made Brooklyn, New York, their home. Her unique perspective stems from her Jamaican heritage; her various travels, which afforded her the opportunity to be an exchange student in Osaka, Japan; and her faith. She is actively involved in her church. Her interests include singing, dancing, attending the opera, cooking and reading. Her husband is a primary care internist, with whom she shares the most important role: raising their two young children.

Dr. Wilms is excited to partner with you and your family in taking excellent care of your children at every stage of their development.
